Spirit Guides and How To Connect With Them. Part 1.

     Have you ever heard of someone speak of their spirit guide? Have you ever wondered if you have spirit guides? Well wonder no more because I am here to tell you that yes you do have spirit guides. Everyone has at least one spirit guide. For those of you who don't know what a spirit guide is, a spirit guide is a just what is sounds like. A spirit that has been sent to you by God or whatever higher being you believe in to help guide you through life. We all still act out of free will as our guides can not tell us exactly what to do in our lives as that will be interfering with our free will. They are here in our lives for guidance and guidance only. Once you acknowledge or get to know your guides you can turn to them for answer that you may have about your life. They can help you even when you don't call on them for help. They are always with you day and night. Whenever you hear that little voice in your head that may be giving you advice or information it is them trying to reach out to you. Often times they will speak to us and go unheard because we think it's our own thoughts. They speak in more subtle ways. It won't be an in your face direct sign. For example if you ask a certain question they may answer you in a word on a song or on the TV, or a billboard on the side of the road. They work in mysterious ways. You have your eyes and ears but you also have your inner eyes and inner ears. They rather talk to you through your inner eyes and ears than your outer eyes and ears so they won't scare you. If you have never experienced the presence of your spirit guides then you have not yet experienced something so wonderful and magical.

     I have three spirit guides one has been with me since I was a child and her name is Jill. What I thought of as an imaginary friend as a child I now know was actually a spirit guide. Although as I got older and focused on other stuff she slowly faded away and I never heard from her again until I took a spiritual journey and opened up my minds eye. Another guide of mine is Acedie and he has been with me since birth. He is like a brother figure to me. My third guide is named Floyd and he's like the long lost uncle. Floyd came to me during my first time meditating. He talked to me and showed me things that changed my thoughts of how I looked at life. Acedie came to during my first use of an pendulum board. For those of you who don't know how to connect with your spirit guides it's not as hard as it may seem.

     One of the easiest methods is meditation. The more you meditate you will open up your third eye which is also know as your minds eye. When you do this you will begin to see things that you would never see with your ordinary sight. It may take some practice but practice makes perfect. Another form of connecting with them would be a pendulum and pendulum board. A pendulum is a simply a weight at the end of a cord or chain. A pendulum board sometimes made of a piece of paper with "yes", "no", :maybe", and a question mark written on it. Some people make them with the whole alphabet and numbers 0-9 written on them as well for a more in depth communication with their guides. One of the more advanced ways to connect with your guides is through channeling. This is best used during a meditative state of through automatic writing. Automatic writing  is an alleged psychic ability allowing a person to produce written words without consciously writing. Channeling is also a form of clairvoyance. Psychic mediums often use channeling during their sessions. By focusing on some of these more advanced ways of communicating with your spirit guides you will want to do some form of protection for yourself. These can be blessings, prayers, spells, etc. This is because if you're opening yourself up to communications with not only your spirit guides, but other entities as well.  As I mentioned before if you haven't yet discovered your spirit guides please give it a try. It will be one of those things that in the end you will be glad you did it.
