Ants: Animal of The Week

Ants:

What the Ant represents

Consider what an Ant does in its life. It is a part of a large colony that takes care of one another. It works well with others in its life. It’s strong and carries things that are much bigger and heavier then itself. It knows how to plan for the future. For example look at how structured an ant hill is and how they store food for the winter season. If you have ever seen the inside of an ant hill it is miles and miles of tunnels underground. They use those tunnels to travel, hide, and store food. They also use those tunnels to connect to other hills. They are very smart and protective insects. Considering their size and the distant they travel for food, it’s like us human’s travels across the world for exotic foods. The Ant is an amazing and misunderstood creature.

When Ants show up:
It means it’s time to get to work on a project that you’ve been thinking about and make sure you see it through to completion. Seek support from your family and closest friends rather than isolating yourself. Trust that you’ll succeed in accomplishing your dreams. Be patient with yourself, those around you, and any work project you are involved in.

Call on Ants when:
You’re involved with something that seems daunting and you need motivation to get it done, or if you’re responsible for coordinating efforts between several or more people. You’ve been highly adaptive, always trying to please others, and know that it’s now time for you to become the architect of your own life. You’re feeling frustrated that things aren’t going moving along as fast as you want, and you want to be more patient.

If  the Ant is your Power Animal:
You will most likely be very meticulous and tend to scrutinize everything carefully. You will do your best work when you participate with others in a group effort. You may tend to make decisions based on your assessment of what’s the greatest good for everyone, rather than solely on what’s in it for yourself. You will also trust the universe to provide, having faith that whatever you need will come to you when you need it.

Ants: Message of The Week

Keep your sense of humor, and don’t take things so seriously. It’s tempting to view life in all of its many manifestations permutations, and variations as something to be taken quite seriously, yet this is exactly the opposite of what you need to do right now. No matter what the situation, look for the humor in it. It may take some time to find something, but if you look for it with this attitude in mind, you will begin to see the absurdities and ironies inherent in whatever shows up in life, even in the seemingly darkest circumstances. Maintaining a healthy sense of humor about most experiences causes you to be lighter in spirit, to smile unabashedly, and to appreciate life that much more. Turn that scowl upside down by doing what makes you openly happy! Of course there are times that require a more serious demeanor. Tragedies or traumatic experiences don’t call for cheerfulness and humor. When these events occur, appropriate social restrictions apply that demand the expression of emotions congruent with the circumstances. These instances are temporary and like all things, will soon pass. Other than these kinds of situations, life’s ironies and absurdities abound. Rather than feeling personally victimized by these vagaries, take a deep breath, see the humor in the situation, and have a good laugh!
